Summary: Training to achieve the ability to have responsibility for the day to day running of an Arcades/Games operation within a partner Park, ensuring budgeted targets are achieved and operating standards are adhered to. To work within given budget constraints whilst pursuing maximum operating efficiency and profitability, i.e. chasing spends, controlling costs and achieving target margins. To observe experienced workers to acquire knowledge of methods, viewpoints and standards required for performance of departmental duties.

Full description

  • To ensure the efficient day to day running of the operation and co-ordination of all staff activities. Monitor prize pay-outs, stock levels and staff numbers ensuring budgets and targets are adhered to.Hourly* monitoring, recording and reporting of revenue and prize pay-outs. * (unless otherwise agreed with Arcades/Games Manager)
  • Through regular inspection ensure that all game equipment, units and buildings are maintained to a high level, and that all safety checks are completed as scheduled.Where necessary advising the Arcades/Games Manager on appropriate remedial action.
  • Ensure prizes are displayed in an attractive and safe working manner
  • Maintain a close liaison at all times with your management team communicating Company information/changes in procedure as and when required.Ensure any unresolved problems are dealt with satisfactorily.
  • Recruitment and training of staff, ensuring that all employees undertake the correct induction program.Provide ongoing support to staff by accompanying and reviewing them in the performance of their duties on a regular basis, and provide further training as required, to ensure company procedures are adhered to and standards maintained.
  • Ensure that staffing ratios are observed and improved, whilst maintaining operational objectives.To be prepared to cover reasonable additional hours where appropriate staff are absent.
  • To ensure that cash collections are carried out accurately and securely and in line with agreed procedure with Park; whilst adhering to Company procedures.
  • Conduct regular random checks of floats and stock as well as weekly and period checks.
  • Observe both the Company’s and Park’s Health and Safety Policy and ensure that all health, safety and security regulations and procedures are implemented and are complied with providing a safe environment at all times for both staff and customers, reporting any faults where necessary to the Arcades/Games Manager or Site Engineer/s.
  • To implement appropriate promotional activity as agreed with the Arcades/Games Manager in order to maximise revenue opportunities.
  • Motivation of staff to contribute to the maximum efficiency in the day to day running of the site. Ensure a good working environment is established, in order to obtain the maximum commitment of staff.
  • Ensure documentation submitted by yourself and staff who report to you, is accurate, complete and submitted on time.
  • Ensure that staff reporting to you, conduct themselves in the correct manner, and that they maintain the correct standards of dress and personal hygiene, so as to uphold the correct image of the Company. Also, to ensure that any additional regulations issued by the partner Park/Attraction are adhered to.
  • To carry out appropriate disciplinary action, in accordance with Company policy and procedures with prior guidance from the Arcades/Games Manager and consultation with HR as necessary.
  • To protect and keep confidential the Company’s business interests, except as authorised or required by your duties.
  • To carry out any other reasonable duties as required by the Arcades/Games Manager and to work in other areas of the operation, where necessary, during closed season to support the business needs of the Company.
  • To perform duties at the front of house, including operating the games and coin operations to best practices and being fully aware of how every game and coin operation runs.
  • To perform duties at the back of house, including human resources, operational paperwork, stock control, cashing up and looking after the site float.
